Mrs. Courtney Florine, 7th and 8th Art, decided to create an enrichment were students could continue to express their talents in art while completing projects for the benefit of the whole school. As a result, Churchill now has a School Beautification Committee.
Recently, Mr. Hawkins had been looking for carts that students can store their chromebooks on while they are eating lunch in the cafeteria. He found two book carts that were slated to be thrown away in the trash. Both were perfectly functional, so Mr. Hawkins put the carts by the cafeteria for student use. Members of the beautification committee noticed how drab and plain the carts were and approached Mr. Hawkins about re-claiming the carts with a painted decoration. Thinking that was a great idea, the committee was given the go ahead. The picture is a sample of one of the carts. Please come to visit to see the second cart, visitors are always welcome to our school!!!
