Greetings Zephyrs, Families, and Friends,
Welcome to the 2019-20 school year--what a great year to be a Zephyr! I’ve seen many students, staff, and families out and about this summer and look forward to kicking off an awesome year at Lombard. Most recently, I was able to meet many of the incoming 6th graders and families at their homes or at Orientation and I can’t wait to get everyone back into “our house” on Knox St as a Zephyr Family. Make sure to mark your calendars for our Open House scheduled August 26, 2019 at 5pm.
To the students, I know I speak for the staff when I say we are excited to see you be the best you can be this year. I hope you are prepared and willing to learn new things, meet new people, and push yourself like never before. We have many challenges that await you and look forward to seeing your success.
To our Families and Friends, please feel free to visit and check in on your student’s progress or to say hello. When visiting please park along Knox St. and always visit our main office prior to making entrance into the school building. Make sure to bring a photo ID and call ahead to schedule any meetings. Additionally, please pardon our dust as we improve Lombard for the future.
In closing, I strongly believe that a school environment that is collaborative and one that focuses on building positive relationships is what produces the best students and outcomes. We look forward to working with students, families, and friends and drawing on the strengths of our Lombard community to achieve this desired outcome.
