The fourth annual Girls in Aviation Day was held on September 21st at the Quad Cities International Airport. Seven members of Galesburg High School's Fearlessly Girls Club attended the event which is a global celebration that introduces girls to all the careers possible in STEM and aviation.
According to Tina Imes, Director for Student and Staff Supports, "The girls were able to get hands-on experience with flight and drone simulators, check out planes and fire trucks, learn about meteorology, and the wide range of career opportunities in aviation, engineering, and more!"
