What an incredible weekend we just had! 🎉 Our team shined at the Illinois Prep Top Times indoor track meet with some amazing performances! Huge shoutout to our 4x2 medalists Khloe May, Taylor Herchenroder, Ava Marty and Ella Herchenroder for bringing home the bronze in 8th place! And a massive congrats to Gilbert Lemus for his impressive 3rd place finish in shot put. But that's not all – our 4x4 team of Ella Herchenroder Grace Herchenroder, Taylor Herchenroder and Lily Furrow took CHAMPIONSHIP honors and set a new indoor record! 🏆🙌 We're proud of every single one of you. Our Amazing Attendance for our 8th graders paid off in the "March Attendance is Heating Up" competition that ran the first two weeks of March to improve attendance before Spring Break. Our 8th Graders had just under 94% attendance and were the highest in the whole school, earning them a Popcorn Buffet when they returned today. Our Outreach Workers, Mr. Pickrel and Mr. Thompson were very excited to celebrate with the winners! #StreaksNation

The Varsity game against Metamora has been shifted to a HOME game this Wednesday at Sundberg Field, starting at 4:30 p.m. Come out and support our team as they take on the competition right in our backyard! On March 7th, local artist and Carl Sandburg College adjunct art professor Nikki Ponce inspired our Drawing I students with a fun blind contour line drawing activity. Students embraced the challenge of creating multiple quick portraits and self-portraits, focusing on the spontaneity of this unique technique. It's exciting to know that over the next few weeks, they will refine their drawings into finished pieces that reflect their creativity and growth as artists.
