Thanks to a generous donation by the Galesburg Rotary Club, all K-4 students selected a new book to take home with them this week. Books were purchased at Wordsmith Bookshoppe who also helped us choose and order the books for students. On Monday, December 16th, Rotarians visited each elementary school to stamp books and help students select books.
At King Elementary, a very excited group of boys immediately began to read their new "Dog Man" books. Fourth-grade student, Enderly, said, "I like the action in Dog Man. I also like the splashes of comedy."
District Curriculum Director, Jennifer Bredemeier said, "It was great to see magical moments of eyes lighting up and smiles stretched across faces as students found best-fit books."
