The Galesburg CUSD #205 Board of Education held its October meeting, where they officially appointed Nick Elliott as the new Director of Technology.
Nick is entering his fifth year as a K-12 Director of Technology. A proud graduate of Western Illinois University (WIU), class of 2012, Nick began his career as an IT Technician for the City of Galesburg. During his time there, he contributed to diverse projects, including developing an Android app, enhancing Channel 7’s interface, and supporting water department control systems. Prior to taking on a role in IT for the City, Nick spent his summers working with the Galesburg Street Department, pouring concrete and tackling various tasks, which helped build his strong work ethic and versatility.
In 2018, Nick transitioned to NAEIR as a Software Developer and Systems Administrator, where he honed his skills in creating internal programs and user-friendly website applications for the online shopping platform’s members. In 2021, he joined Knoxville CUSD #202 as Director of Technology, where he spent four years transforming user experiences, upgrading infrastructure, and implementing innovative procedures and technologies.
Nick resides just a few blocks from Galesburg High School with his wife, Corine, and their two young children, Cameron (3) and Everett (1). Together, they enjoy cooking, spending quality family time, and taking leisurely walks around their neighborhood.
